Severity: Severe disease
Note the narrowing of the left main bronchus (the dense opacification in the left upper zone makes it difficult to see the enlarged lymph nodes). If there is airway compression/deviation such as this the disease is classified as severe. The consolidation also appears to involve the whole left upper lobe: consolidation of >/= 1 lobe is classified as severe disease.
